A group of Neora Brand Partners, along with World Vision staff and Neora executives, visited villages in San Luis Potosi to build clean water tanks and teach children good dental health care techniques. The trip was the first since the Neora Ripple Foundation began its partnership with World Vision, which works with children, families and communities on issues related to poverty and injustice. The foundation’s goal is to inspire Brand Partners to take steps to make the world a better place, therefore setting off a “ripple” effect. Since July 2015, Brand Partners in Mexico have had the opportunity to make monthly commissions contributions to support the Neora partnership with World Vision. These financial gifts are used to support families living in poverty in San Luis Potosi. This mission trip allowed sales leaders in Mexico to spend time getting to know the families who benefit from Neora’s gifts. “This was a…
Neora Senior Director Chrissy Warr and her “Little Sister” Lexi share their love of sports and adventure as part of the Big Brothers Big Sisters program in Florida. Chrissy says that Lexi is “12 going on 30” and loves to be active — riding bikes, playing softball, going to the beach, taking nature walks and riding in boats. Together since January 2015, Lexi and Chrissy are up for anything. They share similar backgrounds – having been raised primarily by their dads – their love of sports, animals and getting dirty. This intrepid match is happily planning a trip to the batting cages and running in a muddy obstacle course race. Join this pair of trailblazers and consider volunteering as a mentor. Visit www.bbbs.org to find out more about the program and how to make a difference for children in your community.
Happy 40th anniversary to the Ingersoll, Tillsonburg & Area Big Brothers Big Sisters (1975-2015)! To celebrate 40 years of service to children near Toronto, the agency hosted Bowl for Kids’ Sake events with a groovy 1970’s flair. Coincidentally, Neora Core Values in Action – Attracting People with Heart Brand Partner Trish Roberts, who has been involved with this agency as a volunteer, mentor and/or staff member in the past 13 years, was also celebrating her 40th birthday this year. “It seemed only fitting that I would celebrate my 40th birthday by bowling in support of the local agency so close to my heart!” Roberts said. Along with Brand Partners Jackie Bailey, Cathy Sibinski and Nancy Wall, Trish’s family and friends joined in on the fun. The evening was a huge success, raising $4,007 for Ingersoll, Tillsonburg and Area Big Brothers Big Sisters! With Neora’s Core Values in Action – Attracting…
Morgan Ott has always had a heart for servant leadership and volunteered annually as a team captain on her advertising agency’s bowling team during the Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kids’ Sake fundraiser. Later, as she was staying at home to raise her young children, her local BBBS chapter recruited her to work part-time as their Community Engagement Manager. That’s when she found out about Neora. “A great friend of mine sells Neora and after months of stalking her Facebook page, I knew I wanted the amazing product,” Morgan said. “When I heard about the company, their mission and their HUGE support of Big Brothers Big Sisters, I was completely sold.” She became a Brand Partner in December 2014 because she believed in the product, and because she had seen first-hand the loving, caring and sharing spirit of the company. As of March 2015, Morgan is a Senior Director…
My “Little Sister” in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program is Ellie and she happens to be an AMAZING girl. She is 12 years old and has been battling a brain tumor since she was born. They cannot operate on the tumor but this does not slow her down whatsoever. She really has changed my perspective on life. We do arts and crafts, see movies, sing in the car, go skating and play board games or charades. We have been to Canada’s Wonderland Amusement Park, thanks to the BBBS agency providing tickets.I was fortunate enough to take Ellie to the hair salon for her first highlights. She wanted blue highlights, so we got them together! I suggest to anyone who’s contemplating becoming a BIG to do so. It is definitely worth it. Ellie has been truly inspirational in my life!
